Heather Roop

Director of Campus Accessibility & ADA Coordinator

Since 2006 Heather has served as the Technical Compliance Officer for the University of Kentucky. Heather’s duties include collecting and formatting employment data to write the University’s Affirmative Action Plan and provides that information to University administrative units and officials. Heather determines compliance with all Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity commitments, develops and presents training programs on Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity issues to institutional units and groups, and oversees the office’s records management system. 

In February 2018, Heather’s role expanded to include service as the American’s with Disabilities Act Coordinator. In that role, Heather ensures compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and handles accommodation requests pursuant to the ADA.

Heather holds a B.A. in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of Kentucky College of Education.
